  • Administering medications and treatments: As a Registered General Nurse (RGN), you will be responsible for administering medications and treatments as prescribed by doctors or other healthcare professionals. You will also be responsible for monitoring patients' responses to medications and treatments and reporting any adverse reactions
  • Monitoring and recording vital signs: As a Registered General Nurse (RGN), you will be responsible for monitoring and recording patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature. You will also be responsible for assessing patients' pain levels and providing appropriate pain management interventions
  • Communicating with patients and families: As a Registered General Nurse (RGN), you will be responsible for communicating with patients and their families about their care and treatment plans.   • Documentation and record keeping: As a Registered General Nurse (RGN), you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records. You will also be responsible for documenting any changes in patients' condition, medications, and treatments

Minimum Requirements:  To work as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) at our NHS hospital in Chatham, UK, you must meet the following minimum requirements: 
  • Valid in-date Nursing and Midwifery Council's membership: You must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and have an in-date membership
  • At least 6 months' of working experience: You must have at least 6 months' of working experience as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) in the UK
